Delete Your Data
You have the right to delete your Geneviva account and all associated data at any time. California residents have this right under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). EEA and UK residents have this right under GDPR Article 17 (right to erasure). All users have this right regardless of location. We will process your request immediately.
Request account deletion
Send an email from the address associated with your Geneviva account with the subject line "Delete my account".
⚠ Deletion is permanent. Your family tree, all people, photos, stories, and invite history will be removed immediately and cannot be recovered. Export your data first if you want a copy.
Email deletion request
What gets deleted
- Your account and Google sign-in link
- All family members and relationships in your tree
- All photos and stories you uploaded
- All invite tokens associated with your tree
- All usage logs tied to your account
What isn't deleted
- Content added by other family members to trees they own (not yours) — they control their own data.
- Anonymized, aggregated analytics that cannot be linked back to you.
